The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in power within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to begin their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

This warrior group features the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might appear out of place, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team knows exactly where to go next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the story’s plot—used the foes for his own means, entering the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • The warrior and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • However, their position as key figures in the influential clan could assist the group access areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This leaves them few options but to head to Timmony in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Viewers can anticipate learning which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
